Live Stream and Other Memorial Info

UPDATE - 01/13: To clarify, the live stream link below can also be used in perpetuity to watch the recorded video of the memorial service. So please pass this on to others who may want to watch it. It remains unsearchable right now. Also, if you'd like a copy of the gospel of John with Julia's picture/quote on it (given out at the service) we have some extras and can send them to you. Just email pamelabeacham@gmail.com with your mailing address. I've been dealing with a flu virus all week but I will post something soon with reflections from the day.

Andy again, posting some more info. Excuse the use of the blog to disseminate information - some people don't have Facebook and only get updates through the blog.

The live stream link is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tErtm1WZm3U. The only way to watch is by using this link - the stream won't be searchable due Meeting House policy. So pass it on to anybody who may want to watch it, or on social media as you wish. And I do believe you can use the same link to watch the video after the service.

A reminder as to the other details. Service will begin at 2 pm with music/personal prayer & reflection/slideshow starting at 1:30 pm at The Meeting House, Oakville (Oakville Production Site, as they call it). Address is 2700 Bristol Circle, Oakville, ON, L6H 6E1. There will be time for visiting and refreshments after the service, at about 3:30 pm.

All are invited, especially those who are part of the community that followed her blog. I'd love to meet you all and hear your stories. There are so many people who are working hard to put the service together, and I want to thank you all. There are groups from ForestView, Hughson Street Baptist and Cobourg Alliance churches, as well as West Oak Public School, doing music, food, video, ushering, speaking and much more for the service. They are doing it because of their love for Julia and all of us, and I'm so thankful for each one of them.

Please pray that the service will be honouring to Julia, and glorifying to God. See you Saturday.

Being part of the online community at Julia's Memorial has been a huge privilege. Thanks for allowing us into your joy-filled grief. I remember Julia as a teen at Joy Bible Camp Senior Youth. She was a light then, and a light now that grew more brilliant against the background of this difficult life. EVEN NOW, she continues to re-direct people to the only One able to take us through life with real hope, meaningful peace and indomitable joy. Through Julia's Memorial, God's Spirit has brought me/us closer to God and has given a depth of insight in God's heart for each one of us. Thank you.

  2. Thank you for allowing those of us from other parts of Canada who knew Julia only second hand, to be a part of her memorial online. It was a beautiful service. May God give Andy, Julia's parents and all her family strength and keep them in the palm of His hand.

  3. I only knew of you and Julia because of Julia's Uncle Dave (Breton). He spoke of her during his sermon many months ago and I followed her journey ( as well as yours) through her blog. I was touched and encouraged that despite having cancer, Jesus could still shine through her pain and suffering. I prayed for both of you. I watched the memorial service and couldn't help but write to you and let you know I will continue to pray for you and your family. I know Julia's legacy and faithfulness will continue to live on. May Jesus's loving arms and his peace uplift you at this time.

  4. I first saw Julia on 100 Huntley Street and have come to know of her faith-filled journey through her blog. I have just watched her memorial service as well. Please know that I am lifting you up in prayer - I am praying that God strengthens Andy and both the Bayer and Beechum families. My deepest condolences for the absence of Julia in your lives. She was an amazing light and always pointed to Jesus. Indeed, in her weakness, she was strength, beauty, light and boldness. "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it" John 1:4. Thank you for sharing. May you feel lifted up in prayer. May Jesus wipe away your tears and heal your sorrows. God bless you. - Brigette & Paul VanHuisstede
